Our 4 YO Tsjerk filly, Sjaantje, whom we purchased when 3 days old, has grown into an exquisite Friesian beauty who has tremendous presence and takes your breath away. Feeling the need to offer her every advantage to fulfill her potential, Dreams Come True Farm sent her for advanced training to Griffin Sport Horses [Gretna, VA]. We ventured into the Frieisan horse show world under the auspices of the best: Bruce & Staci Griffin, and Sjaantje has become our show girl!    2009 was the first that Thomas and I traveled with horse trailer and carriage trailer, out of state, and over night to attend our first All Friesian horse show, The Ohio Valley Friesian Horse Classic, held in Columbus, OH, at the Ohio State Fair on August 8. There we met up with the Griffins & Sjaantje. Bruce drove her in her first carriage class and I rode her in my first riding class, so this was a show of "firsts."    I needed Sjaantje to win her halter classes, which she did.  I was not expecting to win any of my riding classes--I just wanted a safe experience--so was pleased that I had safe rides, and although I placed at the bottom of my classes, I was never last.
